🐟 Grilled Salted Mackerel
Saba is a classic Japanese bento fish, but today I used sawara — Spanish mackerel.
Lightly salted and grilled until golden. Simple and delicious.

🥚 Tamagoyaki with Green Onion
A Japanese rolled omelette with chopped green onion mixed in.
The green color makes the bento look fresh and colorful!

🫛 Boiled Edamame
A simple and healthy side. Boiled while other dishes are cooking —
multitasking is key in a Japanese morning kitchen!

🪷 Sweet & Spicy Lotus Root & Pork
Made the day before as a meal prep dish.
Lotus root has a satisfying crunch, and the sweet soy sauce glaze makes it perfect with rice.

🍙 Mixed Rice with Ume & Sesame
Rice mixed with umeboshi (Japanese pickled plum) and toasted sesame salt.
Light, refreshing, and easy to eat even on a busy day.
