How far would you go to save money? 😂
I went down a VERY deep TikTok rabbit hole looking for the most unhinged ways people save money and make money, and some of these money-saving hacks are genuinely smart... while others made me wonder if saving $0.14 is really worth it 😂
In this video, I'm reacting to viral TikToks about saving money, spending less, getting out of debt, frugal living, side hustles and making more money, and giving you my take on which strategies are actually worth trying.
We're talking about everything from the completely reasonable 48-hour rule, tracking your spending, high-yield savings accounts, cooking at home and using what you already own to some truly questionable strategies, including diluting shampoo, saving fast-food napkins, charging your electronics at work, bringing your own cheese to a restaurant and even getting paid to poop. 💀
I'll also look at some of the bigger financial moves people are making to get ahead, including living on one income, sharing housing, using credit card rewards responsibly, negotiating your salary, increasing your income and finding creative side hustles.
And because apparently TikTok wasn't enough, I also asked ChatGPT for its most unhinged ways to save money and make more money, and we'll see whether I think its suggestions are actually smart or completely ridiculous.
💸 My biggest takeaway?
Being good with money isn't about making your life as cheap as possible.
It's about being intentional with your money, prioritizing the things that matter to you, reducing unnecessary spending, increasing your income and using your money to build the life you actually want.
💬 What is the most unhinged thing YOU do to save money or make money? Tell me in the comments!
