A lot can change with one phone call. 🤍 This week took me to Las Vegas for a very special family life update, a first apartment, a new baby on the way, and a reminder that sometimes showing up for the people you love is the most important thing you can do.

I'm helping my daughter settle into her very first apartment, from picking up the keys and moving everything in to stocking her kitchen, thrifting for home decor and making the space feel like home. Watching her step into this new chapter at 22, while preparing to become a mom of two, brought up so many memories of where I was at the same age.
But this vlog became about so much more than moving.

We talk about breaking generational cycles, why I don't believe our children should have to struggle simply because we did, and what I've learned about parenting adult children. Sometimes loving them means helping when you can, sometimes it means stepping back and giving them room to make their own choices, and sometimes it means trusting God with the parts of their journey you can't control.

Between apartment shopping, thrift-store finds, becoming a grandmother again and one VERY unexpected blessing at the airport, this trip reminded me that life doesn't always unfold the way we imagined—but that doesn't mean something beautiful isn't being built along the way. 🤍
