Can you resize plantation shutters instead of spending thousands on custom window treatments? YES! In this video, I show you how to cut, modify, resize, and repurpose high-end plantation shutters to fit windows they weren't originally made for.

Custom plantation shutters and window treatments can cost thousands of dollars for an entire house. Instead of buying brand-new shutters, I found a massive collection of high-quality plantation shutters salvaged from an old mansion for a fraction of the retail price.

Now it's time to make them work.

I'll walk you through the process of measuring plantation shutters, determining what needs to be cut, resizing the frames, modifying the shutters, and preparing them for installation. If you're tackling a DIY home renovation, remodeling project, or looking for ways to save money on expensive window treatments, this is a project worth watching.
