Good morning, friends! It's Grandma Joan.
Many of you have told me you'd like to know more about what I actually eat each week, so today I'm sharing my complete menu for the first week of June. Living on a fixed income means I plan ahead, cook from scratch, use my freezer wisely, and make the most of every grocery dollar.
In this video, I walk you through my daily meals, including budget breakfasts, homemade soups, rice dishes, pinto beans and sausage, simple sandwiches, salads, fish fry outings, and some of my favorite frugal treats. I also share how I portion meals, freeze leftovers, and stretch ingredients to create nutritious, affordable meals throughout the week.
One thing I've learned over the years is that frugal living doesn't mean going without. It means being thoughtful, reducing waste, and finding joy in simple, nourishing food. Whether it's homemade chicken noodle soup, peanut butter and jelly on whole wheat bread, or a special lunch with friends after Bible study, good food doesn't have to be expensive.
If you're interested in frugal living, budget meals, senior living, retirement on a fixed income, meal planning, grocery savings, freezer cooking, simple recipes, and old-fashioned money-saving tips, I hope you'll enjoy spending time with me.
I'd love to hear from you in the comments! What are some of your favorite budget-friendly meals? Do you meal plan each week? And what foods do you always keep in your freezer?
Thank you for watching, subscribing, and being part of this wonderful community. Your support allows me to share my journey, my recipes, my budgeting tips, and the everyday joys of living simply.

Eat healthy, eat thrifty, and eat food that's tasty!

Love,
Grandma Joan
