Cheap Breakfast Idea No. 1: Apfel-Möhren-Rohkost (Raw Apple-Carrot Salad)
Ingredients: 1 carrot, 1 apple, a spoonful of honey, 2 sppons of Greek yogurt, a handful of roasted walnuts.
Instructions: Grate the apple and carrot. Mix them together in a bowl with the honey, top with creamy Greek yogurt, and finish with the roasted walnuts for a beautiful crunch.

Cheap Breakfast Idea No. 2: Breakfast Sandwich
Ingredients: 1 or 2 slices swole wheat grain/seed bread (homemade or store-bought), cream cheese, hummus (or butter), sliced cheese, cucumber, or tomato slices.
Instructions: Toast your bread until golden. Spread a thick layer of hummus or cream cheese, layer your favorite sliced cheese on top, and add fresh tomato or cucumber slices. Make it a sandwich if you're extra hungry!

Cheap Breakfast Idea No. 3: Arme Ritter / "Poor Knights" (Savory German French Toast)

Ingredients: 3-4 slices of bread (stale bread works perfectly!), 2 eggs, 200ml milk, a pinch of salt and pepper, your favorite melting cheese.
Instructions: Whisk the egg and milk with a pinch of salt. Soak your bread slices in the mixture until completely coated. Fry in a pan until golden brown on both sides. Place cheese on top and let it melt completely before serving.

Cheap Breakfast Idea No. 4: Pan Granola

Ingredients: 250g Rolled oats, 100g your choice of nuts, 2 spoons of nut butter, 1 spoon honey, a splash of milk, served with Greek yogurt and fresh, affordable fruit (like apples or bananas).
Instructions: Mix the oats and nuts in a pan with the nut butter, milk and honey until fragrant and toasted. Let it cool and store it in an airtight container. Serve over Greek yogurt with fresh sliced fruit.

Cheap Breakfast Idea No.5: Bircher Müsli (The OG Swiss/German Overnight Oats)

Ingredients: 50g Rolled oats, 1 grated apple, 50g yogurt, 100g milk, a drizzle of honey, 1 handful of raisins. (Pro tip: Reuse old glass pickle jars for this!)
Instructions: Combine all ingredients in a jar or container. Shake or stir extremely well. Pop it in the fridge overnight. The raisins will soak up the liquid and naturally sweeten the entire jar! Top with roasted nuts the next morning. Good for 2-3 days of stress-free mornings.
