Why your sleep gets worse on keto and what to eat two hours before bed to fix it

Energy is good but sleep is suffering since cutting butter and adding protein. Sound familiar?

Try eating a small bolus of protein two hours before bed. An egg or 30 to 50 grams of protein. It offsets the hypoglycaemia that disrupts sleep during transition. Most people stop eating at 5pm because they have been told not to eat late. Eating at 7 or 8pm tells a different story.

Also consider swapping butter for beef dripping. Longer-chain fatty acids process differently overnight and may be the missing piece.

If your sleep is still suffering after trying this, book a consultation and let's work out what is actually going on.
