In this video, I’m building a custom, slim sofa console. This is the perfect solution for adding decor or a place for drinks behind your couch without taking up much space!
Pro Tip from this build: Instead of buying standard 2x2 furring strips (which can often be warped), I used a table saw to rip down 2x4s into clean, straight 2x2s. This made the frame much sturdier and easier to work with.
Materials Used:
(1) 2x12 board (cut to your desired length)
2x4s (ripped down to 2x2s for the legs and frame)
2.5" Wood Screws
Wood Glue
Stain: I went with Minwax fruitwood
Tools Needed:
Table Saw (to rip the 2x2s)
Miter Saw or Circular Saw
Drill / Driver
Sander
