Raden is a certified museum curator, and ceramics are her actual
specialism. Just past 11pm she opens a chat stream, announces
"Late-Night Super Ceramics Chat Time", puts up slides she made herself,
and teaches a full beginner's course on Japanese pottery.

How to tell pottery from porcelain without breaking either (tap it with
a fingernail and listen). What glaze is, and which famous ware refuses
to use it. Why a pot's surface is called "scenery". Why the clay is in
Gifu at all — because tens of millions of years ago there was a lake
there. And, from the curator herself: what a collection policy is, and
why it is not the museum director's personal taste.

Translated and subtitled by hand, with translator's notes for the terms
that don't survive a literal translation.
