I've talked about this on Emotional Badass so many times. Empaths and HSPs feel unseen and unheard, so love bombers hook us with that initial intensity. We're the best narcissistic supply. Energy vampires can smell us like sharks smell blood. What enrages me is that we don't learn the first time. We have to get burned multiple times before we accept we're misreading emotional intensity as connection. Slow down. Real love isn't threatened by pacing.
