I used to think I just had bad luck. Like emotionally unavailable people kept finding me somehow — as if it was just something that kept happening to me.
What I eventually had to be honest with myself about was this: it wasn't just about who I was attracting. It was about what I was participating in. I had become someone who was fairly easy to be with — but hard to show up for.
