Treasury and Social Security confirm payments will change forever
This video highlights the acknowledgment out of the treasury as well as Social Security that all payments administered by federal entities will be changing permanently by the end of this year. This is in accordance with an executive order signed by the president last year to phase out the distribution of any paper payments to beneficiaries and make all payments electronic. The executive order went into effect as of September 30 of last year, however, there was an exception to the rule for some people to continue receiving paper payments. That is going to be expiring as of the end of this year where the treasury and Social Security have confirmed that all payments distributed from federal entities will strictly be digital payments.
