Treasury CS John Mbadi says the Sovereign Wealth Fund will primarily be financed through revenues from natural resources, particularly minerals and petroleum, unlike the National Infrastructure Fund, which is funded by dividends from state-owned enterprises.

Speaking at State House, Nairobi, he added that the Fund can invest both locally and internationally in convertible currencies, with strict oversight, investment policies, and parliamentary safeguards in place to protect public resources.
