The Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana has raised concerns over plans to recruit about 7,000 trained teachers, describing the figure as inadequate given the backlog of unemployed graduates.

Speaking to Citi News, Association President Naninja Divine called on the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Finance to increase the recruitment numbers and publish a clear roadmap for teacher postings.

The group argues that a more comprehensive approach is needed to address teacher unemployment and staffing gaps in schools across the country.
