Mbadi urges leaders to stop misleading Kenyans on Finance Bill

Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi has called on the political class to stop misleading Kenyans on the contents of the Finance Bill currently before the National Assembly. Mbadi said the Bill seeks to scrap layers of taxes on mitumba businesses and accused a section of opposition MPs of misquoting its provisions. He added that the National Treasury conducted sufficient public participation on the tax proposals before drafting the Bill.
