DOGGETT: "And as you know he abruptly resigned rather than be associated with the Trump slush fund deal."

Senate-confirmed lawyer quit rather than sign off on the deal. That tells you everything.

Career IRS employees wrote a twenty-five-page memo asking DOJ to halt the audit immunity deal.

DOGGETT: "Can you pledge to the committee that you will assure that no retaliation occurs against the career IRS employees who wrote the memo?"
