Atlantic Maritime Logistics operated out of a Norfolk, Virginia office building — a mid-tier ship brokerage managing 23 vessels and routing $670 million annually through the global shipping system. Contracts with Fortune 500 energy companies. A CEO with a merchant marine pedigree and connections across Greek, Turkish, and Emirati shipping circles. Everything looked legitimate. Until HSI analysts noticed that seven of the company's vessels were going dark in the Arabian Sea for days at a time. Satellite imagery confirmed ship-to-ship transfers with Iranian-flagged tankers. Wiretaps captured coded conversations coordinating deliveries of military-grade radar systems, marine engine components, and navigation equipment bound for IRGC Navy vessels. Operation IRON CURRENT brought together HSI, CBP, Treasury OFAC, the FBI, and Europol for simultaneous raids across three countries on February 27, 2026. Federal agents seized $670 million in assets, over 14,000 restricted military components, and encrypted server records documenting nearly two years of sanctions evasion hidden inside America's own port system. Several key figures remain at large.
