So, just like the Empire Struck Back, the First Order lost their big weapon but still destroyed the New Republic and there’s only a very small Resistance to stop them, so they’re tracking them down while Rey is off with Luke Skywalker, training and trying to convince him to rejoin the fight as her strange connection to Kylo Ren grows. Director Rian Johnson comes in to just haphazardly sail whichever way the wind blows because trilogies don’t need cohesion, right? The entire future of how we figure out the Star Wars franchise, I know too many Hollywood decisions are made by committee nowadays but we didn’t want a larger discussion about this?
