I just finished watching Michael — the long-awaited Michael Jackson biopic — and I have to be honest… it exceeded my expectations. I had concerns going in after months of trailers and hype, but this film delivered in a major way.

Jaafar Jackson didn’t just portray Michael Jackson… he embodied him. His performance was so convincing that after a while, you forget you’re watching an actor. I’m calling it now: Oscar nomination potential. Nia Long was exceptional as Katherine Jackson, Coleman Domingo brought depth as Joe Jackson, and the entire cast helped make this one special.
