MICHAEL JACKSON BIOPIC 2026 MOVIE REVIEW!
“HEE-HEE!” “Shamone!”😎✌️
After seeing the Michael Jackson biopic, I was moon-walking myself out of the theater with MJ’s songs stuck in my head again.
But anyway, this is my full in depth review of Michael (2026)
Yes, despite its flaws and unnecessary lower rating scores from harsh critics.
I’m gonna be super biased on my opinion on this Michael Jackson biopic.
Out of all the biopic movies, that I have watched before.
This Michael Jackson biopic is probably my favorite by far.
Why? It’s the most entertaining biopic by far.
It’s the one so far that I never got bored of.
I was enjoyed by it from beginning to end.
Which yes, whether you’re casual or a die hard fan of Michael Jackson.
Most of his greatest hits from 1966 to 1988 are included in the film.
From Jackson 5 songs to his first 3 album hits, Beat It, Thriller, Billie Jean, Bad, and more.
Jaafar Jackson aka the nephew of Michael Jackson.
He truly embraces and embodies his uncle to life.
From the way he speaks, sings, dances, and showing his vulnerable and emotional side of MJ on screen.
He definitely deserves an Oscar nomination for his perfect performance of his uncle on screen.
Coleman Domingo, a really talented actor.
But somehow his stern and serious performance, as his abusive father Joseph Jackson was surprisingly compelling.
Including the intense dark moments between him and MJ were utilize respectfully, as it was horribly defected in real life from Michael Jackson’s tragic past.
For my criticisms on this film.
You can tell, there are some major songs in the 80s era of MJ’s career that are missing.
Such as Smooth Criminal, Man In The Mirror, The Way You Make Me Feel, Leave Me Alone.
Those are other iconic songs, that they skipped throughout his 80s run.
I was a little disappointed.
Unless if they would fix that issue, for the inevitable sequel to continue his story on screen.
Since this biopic is only just the first half of his story.
While the movie does a good job on depicting MJ’s relationship with his father, mother, guard, manager, and to young children and his friends.
But as for his siblings, I feel like we should’ve seen a bit more of Michael’s dynamic with his brothers and one of his sisters.
His siblings do serve their purpose of their Jackson 5 moments.
As it’s essential to the story of the Jackson family.
I’m just saying, the siblings need a bit more development.
Other than that, if you’re a huge Michael Jackson fan.
I believe you would be satisfied enough for what they were able to bring on Michael Jackson’s first biopic.
For casuals, you’ll be invested on Michael Jackson’s personal character study type of story.
And also getting nostalgic of hearing his iconic hits in the film.
Especially me, since I couldn’t stop snapping my fingers, lip singing along, and even dancing in my seat in the theater for those songs.😂
As of right now, it’s my favorite movie of the year.
We’ll see each if other 2026 movies will top it soon.
But overall, it was such a Hee Hee of an experience to have a Michael Jackson concert for this current generation to enjoy on the big screen.
Final verdict: 8/10
