Captain Ibrahim Traoré just said what every African leader is too scared to say out loud.
They buy Africa’s raw cotton for 200 francs. Process it outside Africa. Then sell it back for 1,000 francs. Africa loses the factory. Africa loses the jobs. Africa loses the wealth. Every single time.
Burkina Faso couldn’t even manufacture a simple coat rack. Business people were flying to Dubai and China to buy something made of just metal and a few branches.

But Traoré is done waiting. Burkina Faso is now manufacturing its own armoured vehicles, reviving dead training centres, building dams, drilling boreholes and creating industrial zones across every region.
He said it himself — colonisation didn’t just steal Africa’s resources. It stole Africa’s mind.
And that ends now.
