An unbelievable event happened at the mosque today.

Joshie ran in with his cakes, ready for his legendary Minbar sprint…

…but then he stopped at the front door of Ibrahim Masjid in Glasgow.

He looked up at the beautifully ornate design, smiled, and said:

“Gold.”

Then he typed it onto my alphabet tattoo.

One word.

One observation.

One incredible moment of communication.

The Imam invited us to the front and the whole community showed us such warmth, kindness and love.

The Joshie-Man arrived as a refined English gentleman…

…and left as a proud kilt-wearing Scotsman 🏴

This is what inclusion looks like.

This is what welcome feels like.

This is what communication can be. 💛
