The regime is seizing ancient Christian holy sites — including the historic St. Catherine Monastery and the Holy Family Trail — to commercialize and monetize them for state revenue. As Ibrahim demonstrates, this is not an isolated incident but part of a 1,400-year continuum of systemic abuse and jizya extortions that began with the Arab/Islamic conquest of Christian Egypt in the 7th century.

Most strikingly, Ibrahim draws a compelling analogy: while America’s indigenous peoples receive extensive legal protections, financial settlements, cultural recognition, and concessions, Egypt’s indigenous Copts endure relentless discrimination, land seizures, and exploitation.

The contrast reveals just how dire the Copts’ situation truly is.
