Modibo Keïta vs Ibrahim Traoré The Two Architects of Malian and Burkinabe Sovereignty
リアクション
2026年05月29日
Two leaders, 60 years apart. One built Mali's independence in 1960. One is rebuilding Burkina Faso in 2024. Both said no to France, yes to African control. Who did sovereignty better — the teacher or the captain?
Full breakdown: Keïta's African socialism vs Traoré's gold nationalism, CFA franc battles, and why the Sahel keeps choosing soldiers to finish what politicians started.
2. Long Description (if you use it in the video details)
Modibo Keïta (1915-1977) led Mali to independence, created the Malian franc, and helped found the OAU. Ibrahim Traoré (born 1988) took power in Burkina Faso in 2022, expelled French troops, and launched a national gold refinery.
This Short compares their vision of sovereignty: Pan-African unity, resource control, and breaking from neocolonial economics. From Bamako 1960 to Ouagadougou 2024 — history is repeating, but with guns, gold, and Gen Z.
What do you think? Was Keïta betrayed too early? Is Traoré Sankara 2.0?
