In this video, I show you how to use ChatGPT as a powerful language learning tool, with practical examples in both French and Spanish.

We’ll look at how you can take the transcript of a YouTube video you’ve watched and use it with ChatGPT to turn passive viewing into an active language-learning experience. You can have a conversation based on the video, practise speaking and comprehension, and then review the conversation afterwards.

I also demonstrate how to use ChatGPT to give you feedback on your performance. One important tip is to be specific about the kind of feedback you want. Rather than asking for ChatGPT to correct everything, you’ll often get more useful results by focusing on one area at a time, such as vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, fluency, or natural expressions.

Finally, I show you how to take the same transcript and use ChatGPT to create useful language-learning materials, including flashcards and organised lists of key vocabulary and expressions.
