Stop scrolling AI news every morning. Build this Hermes workflow instead

I built an AI agent that runs 24/7 and sends my whole team a structured AI news report every single morning, completely hands-off. But the real magic isn't just the automation. It's how we collaborate on it. By uploading these daily AI briefs directly to Box, they are instantly shared with my team, instantly actionable, and we can immediately get to brainstorming on new content ideas together.
In this video, I tear down the entire workflow: Hermes agent running on a DigitalOcean droplet, triggered by cron every weekday at 7am PT, scraping arXiv, Hacker News, HuggingFace Daily Papers, Google AI Blog, Anthropic, and Medium, then compiling it all into one structured Markdown report: top stories, dev tool trends, research papers, content ideas, competitor moves, and more.
I also show the actual skill file the agent runs on, and — my favorite part — how the agent rewrites its own skill when I just tell it in plain language to customize the report for my DevRel team. The report gets written to a shared content layer (I'm using Box) so the whole team reads from one source of truth, then the agent posts the link to Slack. This is the pattern I use to keep my team in sync on AI trends and constantly generate content ideas.
