U.S. President Donald Trump took a fresh swipe at former Vice President Kamala Harris during a White House event, sarcastically saying she “would have made a great president.”
Trump mocked Harris over her role handling border issues while reacting to reports that she is leading early Democratic polling for a potential 2028 presidential run. Speaking at the Rose Garden Club dinner in Washington DC, Trump also joked that Democrats should nominate Harris again.
The remarks come as speculation grows around the future Democratic leadership race ahead of the 2028 U.S. presidential election.
