India and France unveiled a series of major initiatives during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to France, including a roadmap to double bilateral trade within five years, an Innovation Roadmap 2030, cooperation in AI, defence, nuclear energy, space, education, and mobility.

Addressing the media in Nice, Foreign Secretary outlined key outcomes from the Prime Minister's discussions with French President Emmanuel Macron following the inauguration of Bharat Innovates 2026. The event brought together Indian startups, global investors, and technology leaders, showcasing India's growing strength in deep-tech, AI, semiconductors, space, defence, and renewable energy.

The briefing also highlighted progress in civil nuclear cooperation, defence manufacturing, student mobility, and the expansion of UPI services across France.
