NASA's SpaceX Crew-13 introduced their upcoming mission to the International Space Station (ISS) during a press conference, sharing both professional goals and personal stories ahead of launch.

The Crew-13 team includes NASA astronauts Jessica Watkins and Luke Delaney, Canadian Space Agency astronaut Joshua Kutryk, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Sergey Teteryatnikov.

Commander Jessica Watkins said the crew is preparing for a busy mission that will include station maintenance, scientific research, and multiple spacewalks. Meanwhile, Joshua Kutryk joked about expecting the birth of his child while he is aboard the ISS.

Kutryk also addressed a question about working alongside a Russian crewmate despite his Ukrainian heritage, emphasizing that cooperation in space remains strong and that the crew is united by science and exploration.

The Crew-13 mission is scheduled to launch no earlier than mid-September 2026 aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket and Dragon spacecraft from Cape Canaveral, Florida.
