At a mission elapsed time of four days, six hours, and two minutes, the four-person crew of Artemis II officially crossed the "gravitational divide." For the first time in over 50 years, a human-crewed spacecraft is now "falling" toward the Moon rather than being pulled back toward Earth. The milestone occurred at approximately 04:42 GMT (12:42 a.m. ET) on Monday, marking the moment when the Moon's gravitational pull became the dominant force acting on the Orion capsule.
