Iran's ambassador to the United Nations in Geneva, Ali Bahreini, said there had been "good progress" in ongoing U.S.-Iran peace talks in Switzerland while warning that any new attack on Lebanon would cross a "red line" for Tehran. Bahreini stressed that Lebanon's security and territorial integrity remain essential parts of any final agreement and said Iran would respond if the memorandum of understanding is violated. He also confirmed that the Strait of Hormuz remains open to commercial shipping under the current arrangement, while negotiators continue working toward a permanent agreement within 60 days.
