Vasily Nebenzya's statement during the 48th session of the UN General Assembly Committee on Information.

In this speech, he accuses the United States of violating its obligations as host of the United Nations by denying visas to Russian delegates. Nebenzya also raises concerns about declining media freedom, alleging growing censorship and information control by Western countries, including the European Union.

The statement further addresses the situation in Ukraine, claiming persecution of journalists, suppression of dissent, and attacks on media representatives. Russia criticizes what it calls “selective silence” from international organizations and human rights groups, while also calling for greater transparency and fairness in UN information structures.
