French President Emmanuel Macron said the G7 summit was a success, citing progress on Ukraine, international trade, artificial intelligence and Middle East peace efforts. Speaking in Versailles alongside U.S. President Donald Trump, Macron said the G7 had reunited behind Ukraine and reaffirmed support for Kyiv's defense and reconstruction.

Macron also welcomed the signing of a U.S.-Iran agreement at Versailles, saying it could help ease tensions, reopen the Strait of Hormuz and potentially lower fuel and gas prices. Asked about Russian President Vladimir Putin, Macron said it was up to Moscow to show readiness for negotiations under acceptable conditions.
