All blocks demonstrated were done using Foundation Paper Piecing that I had manually drafted and printed onto a fabric base (muslin and/or light cotton sheeting). I do it this method for accuracy and the fabric base helps eliminate distortion – and I really have a difficult time taking removing the bits of paper so this works the best for me. Below shows fabric sizes if you choose to do as pieced blocks also known as a flip and stitch method.
Block A
Fabric is per block (I used 4 in my design so multiple quantities below by 4)
Each block will trim at 5.5” unfinished
Centre Qty 1 at 3.0” square in dark high contrast fabric
First round use light fabric quantity of 2 at 2.5” squares cut on the diagonal
Last round use dark fabric quantity 2 at 3” squares cut on the diagonal

Block B:
I made 8 of this block and used as the border,
Each block will trim at 5.5 x 10.5” unfinished
If you would like to piece start with a darker fabric (strip sets of scraps) to measure an unfinished size of 5.5 x 10.5
Use a quantity of 5.5 x 3.5” in a light colour to flip and stich onto each corner.
You will need to square your block when done

Block C:
Fabric is per block (I used 4 in my design so multiple quantities below by 4)
Each block will trim at 10.5” unfinished
Centre Qty 1 at 5.5” square in dark high contrast fabric, demonstrated in burgundy
First round use light fabric quantity of 2 at 4.5” squares cut on the diagonal
Last round use dark fabric quantity 2 at 6.0” squares cut on the diagonal *I was using scraps so divided the different colours over the 4 blocks, if you would like them to be all the same use one tone of fabric for all Block C
