Hydrocarbons are organic compounds composed solely of carbon and hydrogen, serving as primary energy sources (LPG, CNG, petrol) and petrochemical raw materials. Classified into aliphatic (alkanes, alkenes, alkynes) and aromatic, they are categorized by saturation—saturated (single bonds) or unsaturated (double/triple bonds).
